Silent is my heart
But I feel it beating
Pulsing within my chest.
I feel the breezeĀ
Dancing through trees
Though it has no form to play
I see water cry
Hear it roar
As it rages on
An unstoppable current
Stars linger in loneliness
Blinking for no one
Shining for all
And the moon hides
Its ugly scars
From those who admire its beauty.
A child laughs and screams
Unaware of the troubles ahead
That their parents will leave behind.
How the earth weeps
As it looks up to the sky
Not knowing the girts it gives
Insects live life hated and feared
Only living each day like its the last
Trapped in a cycle to be repeated.
Buildings fall
And glass shatters
Leaving explosions in the night
Drifting dust in the morning
Unseen and unheard by those who know.
You do not know
Just as the earth is unaware
And the stars isolated
You do not know.
As a child plays its innocence
And the moon hides its scars
You do not know.
When nature finds perfection in its flaws
And governments make peace with destruction
You do not know.
When your body fights against itself
Attacking all that you are
All that you should be
You do not know.
To know is to accept
To accept is to realize
And to realize is to make it seen
So We do not know.
